It is a great day to worship and fellowship with GOD!!!!

Hello all.  Many things happen in our daily lives that we don't understand.  Why does XXXX happen?  Why did XXXX happen to so-an-so?   Why me?
Through all of our distressing moments, anger, frustration, confusion, and all the emotions that cavort through our finite little minds we often wonder WHY???
Our job, our purpose is to be obedient to GOD in ALL circumstances.  Remember JOB, in the Bible,   Job 1:  In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
Look at this, blameless and upright, shunned evil and what???  FEARED GOD!!  Now fear does not mean scared, shaking in your boots, run from because something will happen to you.  It means the fear most of us had of our parents.  We know they love us and if we do wrong then we will be corrected aka punished for our mis-deeds.
Now, this man, Job, was a wealthy man.  His wealth came through obedience to the LORD and not through greed, cheating, stealing, and wrong deeds.  He was obedient to GOD.
Job 1: He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
Notice, he was the greatest man among all the people of the East.  Some say Job was not a Jew, living in Uz; whereas other say he was a Jew.  You research it and decide.
The name "Job" means the persecuted one, and this definitely related to Job's life of trials.  Job was wealthy and this book, Job, came about because of a conversation between satan and GOD. The devil said the only reason Job had all he had was because of God, that he was not a good MAN OF GOD!
Verses 4 and 5 speaks to the children of Job. The sons would have feasts, inviting the 3 daughters, and when the feasts were over then Job would (5) sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
Now, here comes the precursor to the "challenge" by satan: One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
What is interesting is the LORD asked satan where he came from.  HaHa-God already knew.  And what does satan say?  Roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.  YEP, he is roaming looking for "victims" and "weaknesses" in all the people of the earth.  Tomorrow we will get into the challenge.  Actually, GOD casts the bait before satan and satan takes the bait.
God is good all the time, all the time God is good. Wow! When you have challenges do you look up -- to your Father in Heaven -- or head down and mully-grubbing about the situation?  More tomorrow. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
