Where is your mind set? Are you a Job or a seeker of earthly things? Colossians 3:2

 Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!!

   Oh, to be as strong in faith as Job.  He never wavered, even when his wife told him to curse God and die.  He remained faithful, even though he lost all his worldly possessions;  livestock and precious possessions as his children.

   I can only imagine the anguish he went through, especially when losing his children.  And, if you read or listen to Job, the escaping servants came in one after another with the bad and terrible news.  This had to be heart wrenching.

   Colossians 3: 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

  So often we are just looking at the here and now and fail to see on down the road.  In this case we would be looking at the here and now on earth, and NOT ON THINGS ABOVE!!

   Oh, to be a JOB in today's world.  Not focused on COVID, politics, problems around us, but to remain strong in the faith and worship GOD in the good and the bad times.

  I challenge you today to be a JOB, and be in constant prayer or conversation with the LORD.  This was on my mind and thought I would share.  Thanks for reading. Love you all.

Are you a believer as was JOB? Beginning of Job

Good morning!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good. God is here, with you, right now, so fear not!

  My intent is to read the Bible chronologically for this next year.  At this time I am in Job.  We all hear the stories of Job and how great a man of God he was; but, do we really know the story?

  Okay, put yourself in the place of Job.  You are living the good life; everything you need you have.  Children, livestock (wealth), and it seems the Midas touch is with you-meaning everything you touch, try, or do is prosperous.  AND THEN.......

  Unbeknown to you things will go south quickly and all at once.  Just like the people who have been caught in the ponsi schemes, everything is gone.  What do you do????

   We can complain (which we all do), be depressed, leave family, suicide, be angry constantly, curse God; OR, we can keep our faith in God and praise HIM in the good times and the bad.  Which are you most likely to do? (Soul search)

  We have to remember GOD is with us always; HE sent JESUS to shed HIS blood for YOU, JESUS sent the Comforter - the HOLY SPIRIT to be with us. We must remember that GOD is always with us, hears our prayers, our moans, complaints, praises, HE hears it all.

   Job 9: ¹¹ When he passes me, I cannot see him;
    when he goes by, I cannot perceive him.
¹² If he snatches away, who can stop him?
    Who can say to him, ‘What are you doing?’

  God is with us always, constantly, in every moment of every breath, HE is with us.  So now, back to my main question----Can or do you believe as JOB? To praise God in the good times and the bad times?  Please remember this and put your name after you:

  1 Peter 2: ⁹ But you, (name), are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you, (name), may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Evil or righteousness 2 Timothy 22-26

 

Good morning all.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!

  As we look around and take count of the God fearing people we know, we also encounter people with evil in their hearts.  If you read in Genesis we read that we have evil in us.  The ones who come to know the LORD are forgiven and turn to walk away from evil.  Those who know not the LORD continue to walk in evil ways.

  We all have a choice, you and I, and we are to spread the good news of JESUS CHRIST and SALVATION.

  Also, we are to flee from our evil desires and ways.  Read below.

   2 Timothy 2:22-26

²² Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. ²³ Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. ²⁴ And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. ²⁵ Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, ²⁶ and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

  Where do you stand today?  Take a good soul search, look at the miracle in the mirror, and take a stand for CHRIST.  Thanks for reading. Love y'all.

I knew you before--------says the LORD Jeremiah 1:5

 

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  Do not look around in fear, but look around in awareness.

  God is here, there, everywhere and a spirit that we need to remember to honor.  You cannot honor someone you don't respect; God is one who I (we) can respect easily.  If you ever question there being a God, just stop, go to the woods if necessary, and see the wonderful creations HE has made.  Look at any cycle of life and you know there has to be a GOD. 

  A big bang could not create what God has created.  And, if YOU WANT TO SEE A MIRACLE ------then I ask you to go look in the mirror.  If you still do not see a miracle I would recommend either go to your knees and pray for wisdom; or, read up and see how the body works,  YOU ARE A MIRACLE!!

  Jeremiah 1:

⁵ “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
    I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

God knew you before you were in the womb!

God has special work for you to do!

God wants you to spread the message that

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!!
