Physical Food and Spiritual Food

  Hello fellow Christians and friends,
Sorry for the absence from the devotionals.  Me and Jesus spent time with a come to Jesus meeting. :)  I have been remiss in being obedience and doing the devotionals and ask forgiveness from each of you.
In saying this I realize that I eat and why do I eat?  As the saying goes: "you are what you eat"; therefore, that is why my girth is of greater width than I would prefer. Yes, it is due to what I eat.
Also, we eat to stay healthy, to be able to do the work we need to do, and be physically strong.  In accompaniment with this we also need to exercise.  By exercising we keep our strength up and are able go about our daily routine.
Now, in contrast we also need spiritual food.  This is what we take in, in our heart and our spirit.  If you take in that which is spiritually clean, pure and holy; then you will become spiritually pure and holy.  By doing so you will leave aside the ugly unclean world of bitterness, impurity, lust, gossip, darkness and you will burst forth with SPIRITUALY POWER AND ENERGY to do what is holy and good.  You can accomplish the works of GOD.
This spiritual food we must consume is the ultimate sacrifice - the Messiah!!!
We must live on HIS food - His love, His goodness, His mercy, His presence MUST become your daily sustenance.
By partaking of the MESSIAH, eventually, HIS nature will become your nature. You will go forth with His energy, His spirit, and His power.  This will propel you to do the works of God.  Sooooo, my friend, partake today of what is good and holy; dwell on the good and nothing else - then you will find yourself being more and more like the MESSIAH!!!
Psalm 34:Taste and see that the Lord is good;  blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
John 6: 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Thank you for reading. Love you all.

Oh, what to do in this world? Isaiah 61:1-3

Good day my friends.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
TOO BLESSED TO COMPLAIN!
Don't know what to do as a Christian, how to be of service, or even if you do--- this should help you to move forward in your faith.

Isaiah 61: The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,

and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,

the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
Thank you for taking time to read the word. Love you all.

Where you go--is where you look!

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
  Proverbs 4:
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Give careful thought to the[a] paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.
27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
    keep your foot from evil.
You have heard the expression - if you go looking for trouble you will find it.  This is what God said in His word many many years ago.
If I walk, looking forward and have my eyes cast on God, seldom will I stray - only when my eyes are not focused on God.
However, on the other hand, where I look may lead me astray - pretty woman, nice car, beautiful house, amazing boat, etc.  When I look in other directions - so there will I go.
Just like walking backwards or in darkness - if I cannot see the direction I need to go I will stumble and fall.  Cast you eyes on the light, the light of the Son!
Philippians 3:  13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Thank you for reading. Love you all.

Prayer - do you believe in prayer?

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
Psalm 65:2-3 "O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.  Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away."
God hears all prayer, therefore, unto thee shall all flesh come. He never rejects any that deserves the name of prayer, how weak, how unworthy soever the petitioner be.
All our prayers are answered ACCORDING TO HIS WILL!  Often we argue and become angry with God for what is happening.  Why did you take that child? Why did you take my loved one? And on and on.  What we see is the here and now; God knows what could happen that would horrendous later on and being a God of love and mercy would take them now.
Yes, Virginia, there is a God and your prayers are answered.

Romans 10:12 , "He is rich unto all that call upon him;"
Psalms 86:5 , "Thou art plenteous in mercy to all that call upon thee;"
Hebrews 11:6 , "A rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
James 1:5 , "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
We need to remember ROMANS 8: 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Today, take time to pray for yourself, others, your workplace, friends, neighbors, even the world.  If we all did, what a difference we would make. Love you all.

Tenth day of Nisan, aka Palm Sunday

Hello everyone!  Sorry I have been amiss the last couple of weeks.  Please pray for me as I struggle daily, and, as well, I will pray for you.
A Jewish day, Nisan 10, is not commonly know but is quite interesting.  This is the day they choose the unblemished lamb for passover.  However, there is more to it than that.  Like, when Jesus rode in to Jerusalem on the colt or ass (depends on which version of Bible you read).  He came as the passover lamb.  There are so many references back to Exodus and how God orchestrated this complete scenario that it is quite amazing.
Rather than bore you with my trying to explain; after reading and researching several articles I found one that may explain it better than I.  Please click on the link following and it is a short read:  Tenth day of Nisan
Thank you for being so faithful to God.  May your day be wonderful and bright as the SON!
