Psalm 1 - the righteous vs the wicked

Good morning and GOD morning to you all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  Today, begin with the saying "NO TODAY SATAN!!" and believe it.
We have ended with Job and moving on I would like to say that what we should take away from Job is that suffering brings humility; suffering helps us rely on God; and  GOD IS ALWAYS THERE FOR US!!!
I felt a little more about Psalm 1 was in order and I do pray I do it justice here.              Psalm 1 describes righteous people in verses 1-3 and verses 4-6 describe the wicked.  Righteous people are blessed.  They have a negative response to evil and positive to good and avoid the advice and ways of the wicked.  Let us look at this:
What the righteous do not do:  Psalm 1: Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
What the righteous do: 2  but whose delight is in the law of the Lordand who meditates on his law day and night.
So what is the result of being righteous: 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
Here is about the wicked: Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
So what about the wicked: Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
So what is the final result: 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous   but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
Again, I discussed this earlier last week, but wanted to revisit Psalm 1.  May we all act, respond, and live the righteous way. Thank you for reading. Love you all.

S. I. S. J. - What does this mean? Isaiah 6:8 says...........

Good morning everyone!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  BLESSED TO BE BLESSED!! Amen & Amen!!!
  S. I. S. J. - what do these letters mean?  They stand for Silent -  Inspired - Spontaneous - Journal!   Huh?  That does not make any sense to me.
Okay, SILENT -  we need to take time to just stand, sit, or lay quietly before the LORD, mind open, no thoughts and be still.
Let the Lord INSPIRE - you. Wait for that word, that feeling, when your "gut" is telling you something.  What are you supposed to do with the information given you?
Be SPONTANEOUS - jump up, remember what the LORD has given you and act on it.
JOURNAL - write down what God gave you when you were silent, inspired, and then spontaneously acted upon it.
We need to be as Isaiah was in Isaiah 6 -  Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Are you daring enough to say this: Here am I-send me?
First, how does the LORD speak to you?  If you say he doesn't then you are not in tune.  It may be through a strong feeling, something in your mind (Ex: when I woke early last week with Ecclesiastes 4:6), maybe an uncomfortable feeling and you don't know why.  You need to be in tune with the spirit and listen quietly and contently for GOD to speak to you in whatever manner.          He was in a burning bush for Moses; the prophets through visions and dreams; God spoke to Abraham, AND visited him in the form of man (Genesis 18:1-15).
Here are some questions for you to ponder:
  • Is there an influence in your life that is hindering you from obeying God?
  • Is there “someone” or “something” that has to “die” before you will respond to the voice of God?
May we all take time today to SISJ - and then act upon what GOD shares with us.  May your day be blessed and filled with the HOLY SPIRIT!  Love you all.

Ecclesiastes 4:6

Good morning all.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  COMPLETELY BLESSED!!!!  AS ARE YOU!!!!
Well dear friends, at 3:48 a.m. this morning I woke and was given the scripture of NIV -Ecclesiastes 4: Better one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.
KJV- Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
From this scripture I was confused at first. I wondered why?  Then I read verse 5: "The fool foldeth his hand together, and eateth his own flesh.
Verse 5 relates to the lazy person who creates his own demise.  Ths person idles away his/her time and affects others who depend on them.
Then I come back to verse 6 where I interpret this to mean that it is better to work, do your job humbly and quietly.  The person who is competitive and strives to get the bigger, the better, the newest of everything and lives for all the material possessions he can acquire.
One does his/her job as in honor to God; whereas the other lives for the world and strives to gain all he can before he dies.  You know the old saying, "the boys with the most toys wins".
We need to take time to enjoy the other gifts God has given, and realize that it is God who gives out the assignments and the rewards, not us.
May this touch you as much as it touched me.  I love you all.

The righteous and the evil - Psalm 1

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. BE BLESSED TODAY; PROSPER WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE AND GOOD THOUGHTS!!!!
The Psalms are categorized by many and believe they are teaching life lessons to us if we would only read them.  Psalm 1 tells us we do not walk in step with the wicked and we are reverent to God always.  In verses 1 & 2 we are told of the righteous person: Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lordand who meditates on his law day and night.  You and I are not to walk with the wicked or go the way of sinner. We are not to mock BUT we should enjoy all God has provided for us and be thankful constantly.  So what happens if we do? (this is not the Joel Osteen philosophy, but God's)  That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.   Think about a tree planted by streams of water----they flourish, get nutrition, grow strong, yield good crops, and they prosper.  You may look around and say, phew, I am not prospering.  To this I say bunk, you are prospering. You are reading this by means of the internet.  45% of the world does not have internet.  You are part of the 89% of people who have safe drinking water.  3 billion people live on $2.50 a day; and 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty/less than $1.25 a day.  Yes----FACTS!!!!   So, do you prosper?  You tell me!  So what about the wicked? Well, let us look at the next few verses: Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.   If you have ever followed a combine harvesting wheat they leave a dust storm of chaff behind.  Actually, there is more chaff than wheat.  The chaff blows away, if it gets on you it makes you dirty and you will itch.  We are to stay away from the wicked because of what they can or may do to you.  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,    nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.   The sinners will not be among us.  You look around and see some people prosper that do not appear to be godly and may wonder "why do they do so well, they lie, cheat, steal, yet prosper"?  They may gain advantage for the moment here on earth; but our true reward is when Jesus returns.
Yeah, yeah, yeah!  I hear this all the time!  Well, friend, if you study the Bible you are not given a golden road with no bumps, and, as in Job, we must rejoice in the bad times as well as the good times.
Look at verse For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
Aww, yes, our Father in Heaven is watch and we will be taken care of.  It is not my job to "police" my neighbor, but my job to share the gospel with them.
Thank you for reading with me today.  I hope you enjoyed Psalm 1. Love you all.

Elihu delivers his speech in anger Job 32-37) The GOD speaks

Good morning all.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO COMPLAIN!!!
Complaining, that seems to be the theme in America today.  Neighbors feud, politicians feud, countries feud, and no one seems to speak to or acknowledge God in all their frustrations.  Well, Elihu, a young man who listened to Job and his 3 friends do verbal combat.  Elihu is angry now and lays it on the line for these 4 men.  He really chastised Job and his friends, specially in the area of wisdom.  If you have time click on this link and listen to Job 32 which will continue until you pause or close it out.
The we come to Job 38:1-42:18 where God speaks to Job. God begins by asking Job questions he could not answer, nor could we.  As he goes through his dissertation we see much about God.
We have to realize that our suffering can and may be a test of our faith that God will help us in the midst of our suffering.  God is always available to HIS people.
Of course we know how this ends, God restores Job's fortune, gave him a new family and we see that Job was, indeed, a righteous man.  Also Job's friends recognize that God has blessed Job.  What can you take away from the book of Job that will apply to you and your life?  When hard times hit do you become angry at God?  OR, do you praise God in good and bad times as did Job?  Remember at the beginning of Job's afflictions he told his wife we should praise God in the good and in the suffering.
May you today, my dear brother/sister in Christ, come to you knees and thank God for all you have - good or bad.  Thank you for reading.  Love you all.

Job and his response - Job 12-14

Good morning all. Sorry I missed you yesterday. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TODAY BE TOOOO BLESSED TO COMPLAIN!!!!
Job has endured the commentary of his "friends" and the last to speak is Zophar.  Zophar basically called Job a liar and hypocrite.
Now, these are his friends and it all started well when they came, sat with him in silence for 7 days.  Then they became impatient and started indicating Job had sinned against God and that Job was foolish to deny this.  Thus, Job was a liar and hypocrite.
If you start reading in chapter 12 you will find that Job responded in verse 2 with sarcasm saying that wisdom would die with these men.  This is quite appropriate as these men believe they have all the "correct" answers. Job goes on to tell them he has understanding as well and is not inferior to them.
One of the good commentaries I read is here, click on Job 12 to read. It also has questions at the end.  In Chapter 13 Job tells them again that he is not inferior to them.  At this point Job is unsympathetic with his friends. For chapter 13 click the link above and there are 30 questions at the end of the chapter.
And last is Chapter 14 of Job which also has 25 questions at the end.  If you take the time to print the questions and then go back through the chapters you will gain a wealth of knowledge.  I have, yup, ay hav!!  lol
May this bring some understanding to you and your life.  God is not the preacher of "Oh, wonderful things are going to happen to you because you accepted my son, Jesus Christ."  No, as with Job we will prosper and enjoy; we will experience hardships and frustrations; our Christian road will often be a bumpy, jarring route; then smooth as glass for easy sailing.  As Job, we must maintain our faith in God and endure.  As Job says, we are like a flower, we grow up quickly, hang around for a while, then wither away.
When we wither away the good news is we take on a new body, a new coat of righteousness and are in heaven.  Thank you for reading.  Love you all.

How do you stand? As a mature mustard seed or new seed? Mark 4:30-32

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. Grow and mature my friend.
I would like to expand more about the mustard seed.  Yes, it is the tiniest of seeds to be planted; however, allowed to mature to full growth it provides a resting place, a solace for fowls of the air.  A mustard seed shows growth, dependence, and faith.
Let us view it this way.  Jesus came and was the tiny seed sower that set in motion "The Way" aka the followers of Christ (Christians).  His seeds (the word of God) set in motion the planting of other seeds. From the planting of a few seeds, 12 main seeds, the growth potential has been tremendous.  Currently, from at 2010 census, around the world there was an estimated 2.19 billion Christians (compared to 600 million in 1910).  It is important that we continue the growth of Christianity to counter the spread of non-Christian religions.
Christians amount to only 33% of the worlds population, meaning 67% is either Islam (24%) or some other sect.  Now to get personal.
How are you doing in maturing as the mustard seed does?  Are you a safe haven for people searching?  Is your maturity enough to provide encouragement?  Is your growth in the Bible, the Word of God growing?  I am casting forth questions that relate to me, but could also strike home with you. Here is Jesus in Mark 4:
30 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
May we all grow in our faith and be a safe haven for people to come to, to reach out and touch others, sharing the gospel and seeing lives changed. Love you all. Thank you for enduring.  Back to Job tomorrow.

Faith as a mustard seed! Matthew 17:20

Hello friends and family!  I had a revelation today about the mustard seed that Jesus spoke of in the Bible.  Matthew 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
image.png The seeds are usually about 1 to 2 millimetres in diameter.

I always considered my faith so minimal because this was something I felt the really spiritual people had.  Today I thought about the mustard seed and what it means to me.  This is my thoughts and opinion, backed up by no authorities.
When we are first saved, reborn, our new spiritual birth our faith is so small and itsy bitsy tiny.  However, as we grow, our faith becomes bigger and stronger and one day we shall be as the mustard seed grew.
image.pngMustard seed is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree,so that birds come and make their nest in .

This is how we should be in our faith.  We begin as small tiny seeds and then grow big and strong as does the tree.  We should be a haven for the fallen, the lost sinner to come to in order to find the way to salvation - through JESUS CHRIST our LORD and Saviour!
Thanks for listening to me.  God bless and love you all.

Job regrets his birth. Job 3

Good morning all. God is good all the time all the time God is good.  How is your day going?  Are you walking and following God OR, are you trying to lead?  Do you ever have days you regret?  Even to the point of your birth?
Well, Job did not curse God and die, but in Job 3 he is speaking and was sorry and sad about the day of his birth.  You can hear it here - Job 3 Oral.
In Job 4-5  Eliphaz spoke to Job.   Then Job responds in Job 6-7.  Now Bildad decides to chime in, Job 8 and Job replied in chapters 9-10.  And lastly Zephar speaks in Job 11 or which Job responds in chapters 12, 13 and 14.
Job is going through torment, BUT, he never curses God.  His attitude is we should worship God through the good times and the bad times.
How about you?  Do you thank God and praise HIS Holy Name during prosperous and non-prosperous times alike?  Thanks for reading this short exert from many pages of scripture.  If you listen to the oral it will continue until you pause or close it.  Love you all.

Do you have friends such as Job? Job 2:11-13

Good morning dear friends.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  YES, YOU ARE BLESSED!!  YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!!!!
How oft do we experience troubles, yet there may be at least one of your friends who will be uplifting and encouraging.  So often we accentuate the negative. Ex: a basketball player makes a bad pass and the ball goes out of bounds.  SOooo, the coach yells -- you threw the ball out of bounds. Uh, Duh, the player knows this. How about reassuring by saying that is okay, it is over, you will be okay just play ball.
Hmmm!  Yes it does work.  When I had my best teams while coaching high school girls basketball was when I was encouraging rather than discouraging.  Well, Job's friend begin this way.  They were in anguish because he was and sat with him a week before they spoke.  Ohhh  man, wouldn't this be nice today?
Here is Job 2: 11 When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhiteand Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him. 12 When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him; they began to weep aloud, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads. 13 Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was.
These men, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar, could see Job's torment and wept aloud with him.  When was the last time you wept with a friend, saying nothing, just being there.  Yes, the three began and great friends but hang around for the rest of the story.
Thanks for reading.  Be a friend to someone today, weep with them, and say nothing--just be there for them.  Love you all.

May we have Job's attitude - through thick or thin; good or bad!

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  Well, stop right now and reflect on how yesterday was a blessing from GOD!
Okay, God and satan are having a dialogue and God tells satan he may take everything he wishes from HIS righteous servant Job, EXCEPT his life.
Well, satan wastes no time and goes out to afflict Job. So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
This is hard to imagine or even think about having - sores all over. It sounds a lot worse than anything we can imagine.  So what does Job do?   Job scraped the boils with broken pottery.  What does his wife do?
His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”
His wife comes to him asking why he maintains his integrity.  Integrity is honesty, soundness, staying with ones convictions.  Here is a man of God and his wife, his help-mate tells him to die??  Wow-ser!!  So how does Job respond?  10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”    In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.      Look at this that Job speaks: "Shall we accept good from God and not trouble?"  Job was devout; he loved God and placed all his trust and belief in God.
Where are you today?  Do you place all your trust and belief in God, OR, you do when it is convenient or you need it?   My prayer is that I (and you) love God with no reservations, no matter how many "doubt darts" satan may throw.  May your day be blessed, trouble and illness free.  Stand on the promise Jesus left us with; having the same power He had, stand on the Holy Spirit!  Love you all.

Here comes the challenge - satan and God - Job 1

Good morning my fellow Christians. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  BE BLESSED TODAY AS YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING!!!!
Yesterday, if you will recall, satan was in audience with the angels and God asked him where he had been.  He replied roaming throughout the earth going back and forth.  This means, to me, he was looking for people to corrupt.
God knows where and what satan has been up to, yet God comes up with a challenge.  In verse 8 God says to satan  “Have you considered my servant Job?There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
Here is the challenge and satan's attitude was that God had protected him and made him untouchable.  Look at verse 9 & 10: “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
So satan explains away Job's prosperity to God putting a protective hedge around him.  You know, deep down satan probably knew he was defeated but pride clouded his vision and attitude.  At this point satan now casts before God another challenge in verse 11: 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Satan, in his pride, thinks that Job will turn away from God.  But does he?  God responds with an "oh, yeah!" and here is what God says in verse 12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
Here are some questions for you to answer. First, what was God's evaluation of Job?   Next, how did satan explain Job's behavior? and finally, What did God permit satan to do?
To continue, click here for Job 1:13-22 to answer the following question.  What all did Job lose?
You can visualize attitudes here. God the all knowing and knows what will happen and satan's arrogant attitude that he knows better than God.  And, we will continue on and see Job's attitude.  Where is your attitude?  In the depths below, in the gutter, or in the realm of God?  Hmmmm!
Thank you for reading.  Love you all.

It is a great day to worship and fellowship with GOD!!!!

Hello all.  Many things happen in our daily lives that we don't understand.  Why does XXXX happen?  Why did XXXX happen to so-an-so?   Why me?
Through all of our distressing moments, anger, frustration, confusion, and all the emotions that cavort through our finite little minds we often wonder WHY???
Our job, our purpose is to be obedient to GOD in ALL circumstances.  Remember JOB, in the Bible,   Job 1:  In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
Look at this, blameless and upright, shunned evil and what???  FEARED GOD!!  Now fear does not mean scared, shaking in your boots, run from because something will happen to you.  It means the fear most of us had of our parents.  We know they love us and if we do wrong then we will be corrected aka punished for our mis-deeds.
Now, this man, Job, was a wealthy man.  His wealth came through obedience to the LORD and not through greed, cheating, stealing, and wrong deeds.  He was obedient to GOD.
Job 1: He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
Notice, he was the greatest man among all the people of the East.  Some say Job was not a Jew, living in Uz; whereas other say he was a Jew.  You research it and decide.
The name "Job" means the persecuted one, and this definitely related to Job's life of trials.  Job was wealthy and this book, Job, came about because of a conversation between satan and GOD. The devil said the only reason Job had all he had was because of God, that he was not a good MAN OF GOD!
Verses 4 and 5 speaks to the children of Job. The sons would have feasts, inviting the 3 daughters, and when the feasts were over then Job would (5) sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
Now, here comes the precursor to the "challenge" by satan: One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
What is interesting is the LORD asked satan where he came from.  HaHa-God already knew.  And what does satan say?  Roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.  YEP, he is roaming looking for "victims" and "weaknesses" in all the people of the earth.  Tomorrow we will get into the challenge.  Actually, GOD casts the bait before satan and satan takes the bait.
God is good all the time, all the time God is good. Wow! When you have challenges do you look up -- to your Father in Heaven -- or head down and mully-grubbing about the situation?  More tomorrow. Love you all.

The Red Heifer

Good morning all.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  So often we begin our day on the run, forgetting God, pray time, or Bible study.  So, begin you day with this:  Matthew 6: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Okay, now that you have your morning prayer let us talk about the red heifer.  This all comes out of Number 19.  This all deals with the water of cleansing by the Jews in Old Testament days. Verses 1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: “This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke.  This is parallel to Jesus, who came without defect or blemish.
Give it to Eleazar the priest; it is to be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence.  The red heifer as was Jesus was taken outside the camp (Jerusalem).
Then comes the ritual to be followed by Eleazar which is: And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: He took the blood in his right hand, then with the left hand sprinkled the blood.  What does this represent?  The right hand, where does Jesus sit in heaven? At the right hand of God, so this is for the chosen Jews.  The left hand is indicative of the gentiles.  So we go on.
And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.  The ashes are important as it went into pure water and was for cleansing of sins. I will include a link to Perry Stone who does a 21 1/2 minute talk about the red heifer, the blood and the ashes that explains it better than I.   But do notice cedar wood, Christ hung on a cross; hyssop - they tried to give Jesus drink which he refused; and scarlet, when they mocked Him as King of the Jews.
Numbers 19 continues on about how to become clean as when they touched a dead carcass they were considered unclean.
Back to the significance of the red heifer.   There has to be the birth of a red heifer because in order for a new temple to function according to the Old Testament law, a red heifer would have to be sacrificed for the water of cleansing used in the temple. So, when a red heifer is born (which is quite unusual) it might be a sign that the temple will soon be rebuilt. That red heifer has been born and now we are in a waiting game.
This video of Perry Stone goes 21 minutes (after that is promotional of his videos) and it is quite eye opening.  Click on this link, Perry Stone, and I do hope you are able to view it. Sorry this is so long today, but well worth it I do believe.  Love you all.
