Here comes the challenge - satan and God - Job 1

Good morning my fellow Christians. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  BE BLESSED TODAY AS YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING!!!!
Yesterday, if you will recall, satan was in audience with the angels and God asked him where he had been.  He replied roaming throughout the earth going back and forth.  This means, to me, he was looking for people to corrupt.
God knows where and what satan has been up to, yet God comes up with a challenge.  In verse 8 God says to satan  “Have you considered my servant Job?There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
Here is the challenge and satan's attitude was that God had protected him and made him untouchable.  Look at verse 9 & 10: “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
So satan explains away Job's prosperity to God putting a protective hedge around him.  You know, deep down satan probably knew he was defeated but pride clouded his vision and attitude.  At this point satan now casts before God another challenge in verse 11: 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Satan, in his pride, thinks that Job will turn away from God.  But does he?  God responds with an "oh, yeah!" and here is what God says in verse 12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
Here are some questions for you to answer. First, what was God's evaluation of Job?   Next, how did satan explain Job's behavior? and finally, What did God permit satan to do?
To continue, click here for Job 1:13-22 to answer the following question.  What all did Job lose?
You can visualize attitudes here. God the all knowing and knows what will happen and satan's arrogant attitude that he knows better than God.  And, we will continue on and see Job's attitude.  Where is your attitude?  In the depths below, in the gutter, or in the realm of God?  Hmmmm!
Thank you for reading.  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
