The Red Heifer

Good morning all.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  So often we begin our day on the run, forgetting God, pray time, or Bible study.  So, begin you day with this:  Matthew 6: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Okay, now that you have your morning prayer let us talk about the red heifer.  This all comes out of Number 19.  This all deals with the water of cleansing by the Jews in Old Testament days. Verses 1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: “This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke.  This is parallel to Jesus, who came without defect or blemish.
Give it to Eleazar the priest; it is to be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence.  The red heifer as was Jesus was taken outside the camp (Jerusalem).
Then comes the ritual to be followed by Eleazar which is: And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: He took the blood in his right hand, then with the left hand sprinkled the blood.  What does this represent?  The right hand, where does Jesus sit in heaven? At the right hand of God, so this is for the chosen Jews.  The left hand is indicative of the gentiles.  So we go on.
And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.  The ashes are important as it went into pure water and was for cleansing of sins. I will include a link to Perry Stone who does a 21 1/2 minute talk about the red heifer, the blood and the ashes that explains it better than I.   But do notice cedar wood, Christ hung on a cross; hyssop - they tried to give Jesus drink which he refused; and scarlet, when they mocked Him as King of the Jews.
Numbers 19 continues on about how to become clean as when they touched a dead carcass they were considered unclean.
Back to the significance of the red heifer.   There has to be the birth of a red heifer because in order for a new temple to function according to the Old Testament law, a red heifer would have to be sacrificed for the water of cleansing used in the temple. So, when a red heifer is born (which is quite unusual) it might be a sign that the temple will soon be rebuilt. That red heifer has been born and now we are in a waiting game.
This video of Perry Stone goes 21 minutes (after that is promotional of his videos) and it is quite eye opening.  Click on this link, Perry Stone, and I do hope you are able to view it. Sorry this is so long today, but well worth it I do believe.  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
