Complaining, that seems to be the theme in America today. Neighbors feud, politicians feud, countries feud, and no one seems to speak to or acknowledge God in all their frustrations. Well, Elihu, a young man who listened to Job and his 3 friends do verbal combat. Elihu is angry now and lays it on the line for these 4 men. He really chastised Job and his friends, specially in the area of wisdom. If you have time click on this link and listen to Job 32 which will continue until you pause or close it out.
The we come to Job 38:1-42:18 where God speaks to Job. God begins by asking Job questions he could not answer, nor could we. As he goes through his dissertation we see much about God.
We have to realize that our suffering can and may be a test of our faith that God will help us in the midst of our suffering. God is always available to HIS people.
Of course we know how this ends, God restores Job's fortune, gave him a new family and we see that Job was, indeed, a righteous man. Also Job's friends recognize that God has blessed Job. What can you take away from the book of Job that will apply to you and your life? When hard times hit do you become angry at God? OR, do you praise God in good and bad times as did Job? Remember at the beginning of Job's afflictions he told his wife we should praise God in the good and in the suffering.
May you today, my dear brother/sister in Christ, come to you knees and thank God for all you have - good or bad. Thank you for reading. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
