Physical Food and Spiritual Food

  Hello fellow Christians and friends,
Sorry for the absence from the devotionals.  Me and Jesus spent time with a come to Jesus meeting. :)  I have been remiss in being obedience and doing the devotionals and ask forgiveness from each of you.
In saying this I realize that I eat and why do I eat?  As the saying goes: "you are what you eat"; therefore, that is why my girth is of greater width than I would prefer. Yes, it is due to what I eat.
Also, we eat to stay healthy, to be able to do the work we need to do, and be physically strong.  In accompaniment with this we also need to exercise.  By exercising we keep our strength up and are able go about our daily routine.
Now, in contrast we also need spiritual food.  This is what we take in, in our heart and our spirit.  If you take in that which is spiritually clean, pure and holy; then you will become spiritually pure and holy.  By doing so you will leave aside the ugly unclean world of bitterness, impurity, lust, gossip, darkness and you will burst forth with SPIRITUALY POWER AND ENERGY to do what is holy and good.  You can accomplish the works of GOD.
This spiritual food we must consume is the ultimate sacrifice - the Messiah!!!
We must live on HIS food - His love, His goodness, His mercy, His presence MUST become your daily sustenance.
By partaking of the MESSIAH, eventually, HIS nature will become your nature. You will go forth with His energy, His spirit, and His power.  This will propel you to do the works of God.  Sooooo, my friend, partake today of what is good and holy; dwell on the good and nothing else - then you will find yourself being more and more like the MESSIAH!!!
Psalm 34:Taste and see that the Lord is good;  blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
John 6: 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Thank you for reading. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
