Riches, wealth, is it really worth it? 1 Timothy 6::17

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!

1 Timothy 6: 17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
There is nothing wrong with having money.  Yes, it does keep the wolves away from the door; provides opportunities that are not available without money; BUT, we have to be careful where we put our trust.
Timothy tells them not to be arrogant or haughty.  This is a danger as we then put our trust in money rather than GOD.  We trust all our assets, resources, income, home, investments and other "material" objects rather than GOD.  Strike one.
Strike two is when we begin trusting wealth, we can find it is uncertain.  You may have invested $100,000 and when the market fell that 100k if only worth 50k. This, then, creates problems at home, work, and in general all over.
However, before strike three comes, we turn our trust to GOD rather than wealth or material items here on earth.  Now,  in lieu of strike three, we get a home run.
God give us things we can enjoy.  He is good and generous and we need to put all our trust in Him, God, Jesus Christ.  Let the Holy Spirit reign freely in your life.
Thanks for reading with me today. Love you all.
Verse of the day:  Proverbs 15:23 A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!
