Reconciliation - 1 John 1:9; Romans 5:6-11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Good morning all!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!!
Over the last couple of weeks  the restless heart, rebellious heart, moment of realization, repentant heart have all been discussed.  What about the final step which is reconciliation?  Exactly what is reconciliation?
Reconciliation by webster means to come to friendly terms, the action of making one view or belief compatible with another.  In the Biblical sense it means the end of the estrangement, caused by original sin, between God and humanity.
The example of this is the prodigal son who thought everything was about him.  He cared not about others nor what they thought until..............
When all was gone, he came to realization of how restless and rebellious he had been.  Yes, he did repent, he was sorry for his actions and realized that if he returned home, even to be a servant to his father, he would be in a better place than he was when he squandered his inheritance.
Reconciliation has to do with the relationships between God and man or man and man. We cannot reconcile with God, EXCEPT, through the blood of Jesus. No works, no money, nothing we can do will reconcile us with God, however, as Paul says in Romans 5:   You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
The father was so happy to see his prodigal son return he killed the fatted calf. So happy is God to have us reconcile to HIM that he gave HIS own SON, JESUS CHRIST, that through HIS blood we may be reconciled.
1 John 1: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Our reconciliation comes from God and God only for our sins.  Is there a lesson to be learned here?  Yes, there is.  If you don't see it, then search and seek until you do. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
