Why do people call this GOOD FRIDAY. Many will say this was the day Jesus was tried, sentenced, crucified and died -- it is not a good day. But I am one who believes it truly is a GOOD FRIDAY! Why?
Please remember, prior to this people were praising Jesus and shouting as HE rode humbly into the city
First, the lies and trial of Jesus:
The condemning of an innocent man and then HIS beating
Jesus carries HIS cross and then helped by Simon
Jesus at Golgotha and nailed to the cross
Then hung between two thieves
The sky goes dark at noon the day of the crucifixion--
John 19:30
Jesus saying IT IS FINISHED!
So, why is this GOOD FRIDAY?
And because of God sacrificing HIS SON for our sins we have new life!
THAT IS WHY IT IS GOOD FRIDAY!!!!
