And now comes the ENDING! Daniel 5:24-31

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. GREAT TO BE BLESSED BY GOD!!!!
Well, we are in Daniel chapter 5 and we see where Belshazzar, the king, has thrown a party for the "power people" of the time, thousands of them.  Then he took God's vessels of gold and silver to drink the wine from, and along came a "HAND" to write on the wall.
No one can interpret it, oh, but wait, a man named Daniel, whom the kings wife remembered.  Daniel came, chastised the king and then told him what the inscription said.
What was the inscription written by the hand?
MENE    MENE    TEKE   UPARSIN (kjv) [PARSIN by NIV]
Daniel goes on to explain what this means in verse 26:
Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
27 Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.
28 Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Okay, Belshazzar's days are numbered; he has been tested or judged and found lacking; and his kingdom will be divided. Hmmmm!
Belshazzar was so grateful for the interpretation that Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
Wow! Then as you read on he (Belshazzar) was slain during the night and Darius the Median took reign of the kingdom for 62 years (3 score and 2 years).
Who is Darius?  Not much is know about him except he was the king of Babylonia between Belshazzar and Cyrus the Great.  This tends to lead to more great reading and studying.  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
