Oh, what a world we live in today, in the 21st century, where many thought live would be better. And to some it is. You can lock your doors at home or in your car with your phone. You can turn on or off lights at home with your phone. You can start your car without being in it. You can start your coffee pot or tea maker with your phone. Drones that can take pictures almost anywhere; see earth's landscapes perfectly from above and never leave your home.
Oh, yes, past futuristic movies envisioned this and it all looked so great. But wait, there is still the human element involved that can take something that is positive and turn it into a negative. Why? Because evil lurks around every corner.
When God created man, he was perfect. Next came woman, and now the two are perfect human beings living in a perfect world. Yes, perfect world except for one little thing - the fallen angels led by an angel who wanted to be god.
Now comes the fall of man. From living as a perfect person in a perfect world with a perfect God to a sinful man living in a world filled with the possibilities of evil hanging in the air.
So, is this God's "Oops"? No, not at all. We were created in the image of God, BUT, God did not want "puppets" that did and said exactly the right thing. God gave man "choice" to choose. We are allowed to choose good from bad; right from wrong. The problem is too many things in the world look appealing or tempting and we have a tendency to fall for the "material" things of this world.
Well, what about the child that is aborted, the child with down's syndrome, the child with cancer, and on and on. If God is so good what do things like this happen. Wait, God created man to worship him, to commune with him, and we are here to bring glory to God. These people, children and adults, are they "OOPS" that God made?
Not at all. In Isaiah 43 (1-7) God says do not fear, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
Here are some more verses to consider: Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Romans 11:36 - For of him, and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Did God make an "OOPS"? I think not. We are his workmanship and we need to remember that.
Just a P.S. If a doctor says oops you need to worry; if a house mover says oops, you need to worry; if you hear oops somewhere there may be a need to worry. But, with God you will never hear "OOPS" nor have to worry!
Thanks for reading. Love you all.
