1 Peter 1:6-9

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED! Jesu Jevu!
Here is a link to Daniel you may enjoy about the statue and the fiery furnace.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
We rejoice in God's power and willingness to help us, keep us. Then it says 'for a season' meaning for a period of time; maybe a short period, maybe months or years, but for a season.
heaviness through manifold temptations - this is saying we will be grieved or saddened by the temptations set before us.   Manifold indicates there are numberous, more than one temptations cast before us.  However, we need to remember that we rejoice and praise God in good times and in bad times.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ
'Trial of your faith' - what is a trial?  A trial is when we find out the truth.  What is the truth of your faith?  When it comes right down to it will you be a Peter and deny Christ, OR, will you be as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego and when faced with deny or truth you will tell the truth, NOT DENYING YOUR GOD!!!
This faith in our God, in Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit is more precious than gold.  Example: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego kept the faith, when cast into the fire their hair was not singed, clothes burned, nor did they smell of fire.
When you are faced with trials will you come out as clean.  We find praise, honour, and glory because of Jesus Christ.
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Peter had seen Jesus, but knew many of the Christians of the day (and later) had not, nor would not see Jesus yet they did love him, they believed in him, and could rejoice with great exaltation.  Yet, the word 'unspeakable' meaning we have no words that are able to describe the joy.  Full of glory - perfect, the ideal we strive for.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Is not this the finale we are striving for?  At the end of our faith, (life) we have salvation.  The end of our faith, to me, would be when Jesus returns.  This, then, is when we can enjoy the salvation - knowing that we will be praising God and rejoicing in heaven for ETERNITY.
These are my thoughts and would welcome your thoughts as well. If I am in error, please let me know.  Thank you for reading. Love you all.

Soli Deo Gloria
Johnny
