Once a person decides to follow Jesus, can they lose their salvation later on if they commit a major sin?

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED.  Jesu Jevu!

    In our Tuesday afternoon and Sunday morning Bible study we have been studying salvation and accepting Jesus Christ as our LORD and savior.

   Question comes up, can we lose our salvation for a major sin.  First question what is a major sin?  Second, can you lose your salvation?  While I was studying and researching I came across this from Billy Graham in 2012 and, yes, the address to his response is below.  He says it much better than I.  I would welcome comments.
