Moses' growth from childhood to manhood & events (Ex: 2 & 3)

Good morning all. A beautiful sunrise this morning as well as a beautiful SONrise this morning.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  It is prayer time. Please take 60 seconds or more to pray for our nation, our president, our church leaders, and those around you.

The covenant - this is also quite interesting.  Moses, by divine providence received the best of Hebrew and Egyptian tradition and education.  He was nursed by his mother, living his early years in his mothers house and this is where he learned about God and heard stories of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.  He learned of the promise of God to give the Hebrews the land of Canaan and through this identified with his own people - the Hebrews.
But, then, Moses got ahead of God.  In Exodus 2:11-12 he went from childhood to manhood and then things happened.  1-he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew.
2-He was angry and killed the Egyptian thinking no one saw. (& buried him in the sand)
3-He stopped two Hebrews from fighting and they asked if he was going to kill them as he did the Egyptian.
4- Pharaoh heard of this and sought to slay Moses
5-Moses fled to Midian
6-Moses helped Reuel's daughter water their sheep
7-In doing so Zipporah was given to Moses as his wife
8-Moses tended sheep and learned the ways of the wilderness
9-Moses encountered the burning bush of which was not consumed by the fire
10- He went to observe why this was happening here at Mount Horeb
11- God spoke and told him to remove his shoes he was on Holy Ground
to be Holy means to be set apart for God's purpose.  Anytime you are in God's presence you are on Holy ground.  God used an extraordinary event to draw Moses' attention.  If you will read the Bible, you will find there is more to Moses' life than we were taught in Sunday School.  Exodus 2 & Exodus 3To listen click here.
God has a purpose and a time for that purpose to be carried out.  Too often we are as Moses and get ahead of God.  Reflect back on your life and your efforts to serve God.  Did some of your efforts prove to be ineffective or fruitless because you went ahead of God?  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
