The Ten Commandments (next 4) Exodus 20:12-17

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  I do hope you thought about the first 4 commandments of the 10 yesterday.
Exodus 20: 12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
When we truly love God, then we should show true love and care for our earthly parents.  This love and care for parents is the same love and care God has for us and it should be as genuine and real to us as it is to God.  This commandment was given to adults and is a promise from God.  This promise probably relates more to a society (as in USA, UK, Mexico, Libya, Iran, etc) than as an individual.  In doing so, a society without concern and care for the people will not endure.
Exodus 20: 13 “You shall not murder.   Obviously Paddock and others either were not Christians or intentionally violated Gods fifth commandment.  It cannot be any more plain than this.  But what about the men in war who kill?  Thou shalt not murder, to me, relates to intentionally planning and desiring to take another persons life. War is defending yourself, your nation, and your freedom.  This is a whole and completely new discussion in itself.
Matthew 5 : 13 & 14 - Jesus speaks to murder and adultery.  And of adultery this includes any type of sexual act.  Adultery is a great tool for satan to destroy a family.  Trust and respect are lost, families break up, and usually anger, hate, and bitterness remains for a while.  Sexual immorality destroys human society.  Look how powerful Rome was and then its demise through sexual deviancy. . Then, step back and see the moral decay of America.  In 1964 I heard a song with "damn" in it (I don't give a _ _ _ _ about a greenback dollar), then then next day the song came out and it was censured with a blank space for "damn"; today if that is all we heard on the media we would probably be happy.
Commandment 8 (verse 15) no stealing.  Today we have stealing going on, but in various ways. Yes, some do come to homes or businesses, break in and steal. Now, consider this: How about the people who don't work and panhandle on the street; people on welfare being paid to not go to work; and then a big pet peeve of mine - disability - disability for mental problems?  When their mental problem is drugs.  I know some people who truly need disability and struggle to get it; then some claim mental problems and it is approved yippy ki oh ki ay!  The Bible says a man who does not work, does not eat.  TOO MANY FREDDY THE FREE LOADERS today in America. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Okay, I have kept you long enough.  Tomorrow we will do commandment 9 and 10 - can you name them now?  Love you all.  Keep God number 1 and think about HIS commandments are you traverse the perils of life today.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
