Drink water from your own well! Proverbs 5:15-23

 Well, it is Saturday and a wonderful day to be alive in the LORD JESUS CHRIST!! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!  Song: Lord, How I need you!

    Please understand that in this chapter, 5, of Proverbs Solomon is giving advice for the purity and sanctity of marriage.  We may think this does not relate to me; oh, but it does.  We are in a marriage with Jesus Christ and just waiting for the bridegroom to return.   Remember, he went to prepare a place for us; you and me!
  So look at verse 15 carefully and take it to heart: Proverbs 5: 15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
  What is this telling you? What is this telling me?  We must be faithful in the institution of marriage.  In our relationship with GOD, this means we walk NOT IN THE WORLD, but each step we take should be considered HOLY GROUND, and others are watching to see if you are truly committed.
   God commands total fidelity to our marriage partner, which in the case of Christians is Jesus Christ.  So what does this mean?  I can't go out in public and do things?  NO, not at all.  It is saying be as the early disciples and apostles and WALK THE WALK, and TALK THE TALK!!
   So often we are looking for that better than ever, the best ever experience, the ecstasy of the moment.  We should find this in the word of God.  If we are spirit filled then there will be excitement in reading the word of God, doing God's work, sharing God's word with others, or just being alone in our pray chamber with God.  This is where we will find ecstasy.
   Take verse 1 and change a word: 18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the GOD of thy youth.
   In my application Bible this could be changed to read: 18 Let the word of God be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the God of your youth.
   As you continue to read the rest of Proverbs from 15 on;  it refers to the 'wife' as loving, satisfying, we are captivated by her love and we must flee from the promiscuous woman.  To me this is saying to stay close to God, HIS word, and to not walk in the world filled with evil.
   Here are the last three verses, read them and understand their meaning.  To me it means walking in the world is death (sheol) but walking with Jesus is eternal life.
 21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord,
    and he examines all your paths.
22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
    the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23 For lack of discipline they will die,
    led astray by their own great folly.
Thank you for reading with me today.  Let us see what the morrow brings?  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
