Obedience to God again - Deuteronomy 28: 43-45

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!

I am not trying to beat a dead horse, but once again OBEDIENCE is heavy on my heart.  God does not ask much of us.  What must we, as Christians, do?  First, we must accept Jesus Christ as our LORD and savior.  Then,  God simply asks that we be faithful- no other gods before HIM, don't lie, cheat, steal, covet, but be good Shepherds of the WORD.
Yet, here we are in 21st century America and what is our concern. Oh, let's take a selfie and show the world how cute or awesome I am.  Or maybe, we resort to the old cliche of  "the boy with the most toys wins" or "the boy with the most money wins".
In all this I am saying in America we have become very self centered and don't care about anything except me and my family.  Americans are soft. If we went to war today I would fear for the USA.
Look at Deuteronomy 28: 43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.
45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you
Take note and see how these verses relate today.  1)foreigners reside among us and rise up above us; 2) they will lend to you, they will be the head, us the tail (look at our debt); 3) pursue and overtake us - why? 4) BECAUSE WE DID NOT OBEY THE LORD OUR GOD AND OBSERVE THE COMMANDS AND DECREES HE GAVE US!
Food for thought my dear friend and fellow Christian.  I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but just hope and pray that Christians will stop taking the world in, stand up on Biblical principles and take our land back, reinstate Prayer in schools, teach moral values instead of ideologies from the far left.
God bless each and every one of you. May your path be bright and your steps sure. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
