Parkland a tragedy- Put on the full Armor of God

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  ARE YOU---- TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!?! 

   Have you counted your blessings?  Have you thanked God for all He has done for you?  Or, do you use God as request and suggestion box?  Hmmm!

   How do you pray?  Read the LORD's prayer and begin anew!

 The Parkland High School shooting was a definite tragedy.  When something like this happens people tend to be reactionary rather than pro-active.  This tragedy will bring many closer to God; and for others the question of why did God let this happen. 
        God did not let this happen!  Society let this happen.  As the sheriff said in a news report, when in high school we carried guns in our gun rack in our cars and hunted animals, "critters", after school.  We did not think of shooting someone. Guns have not changed, but society has changed.

    God has been taken out of many places, specially schools!  People will react to this like 911 - when more churches than ever were filled.............for a while!  Then people drifted back into their old way of life.  This, too, will happen in Parkland. As Christians we need to pray earnestly for families of the victims, for Nicholas Cruz- the shooter, and for the community.

    Now is the time to be pro-active. Read and hold to this scripture:

Ephesians 6:10-18--The Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
¹³ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
¹⁸ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
