Are you a prisoner in Christ? Ephesians 3:1; Philemon 1:9; 2 Timothy 1:8

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  YOU ARE BLESSED!!

Have you ever thought about this----that you can, should be, and are a prisoner of Jesus Christ.  This is what Paul says frequently:  Ephesians 3:1; Philemon 1:9; 2 Timothy 1:8; and then in Philippians 1 he says servants of Jesus Christ.
What does this mean?  Is this real for us as well?  Paul spent a lot of time in prisons for things he was accused of but did not do.  So, he was definitely in a jail, in prison, BUT, he referred to himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ.  Why?  Jesus had no bonds on him, no chains, no stockades, nothing to denote Paul was a prisoner of JESUS CHRIST.
The reason he was a prisoner of Jesus Christ was the fact Paul was totally devoted to Jesus and what Jesus came to earth for-----to save the world.
No longer would Paul be free to come and go as he pleases according to his own wants and desires, but would abide in Jesus Christ is such a way as to have his comings and goings directed by God.
Wow!! What a testimony!  Can you say this, that you are 'A PRISONER OF JESUS CHRIST'?  I certainly cannot.  I do strive to be better and a closer follower of Jesus, but sometimes self or the world get in the way and I backslide (as the Baptist would say).
Here is a challenge - let us all pray about being a prisoner of Jesus Christ and following God's direction for our lives.  Take time to pray quietly, and then LISTEN to what God is telling us.  Thanks for reading. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
