Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED! Jesu Jevu!
Hopefully this time in Ezekiel has been time well spent for you. It has
for me. We are talking about the king of Tyre, aka Lucifer. Look,
absorb, and meditate on the characteristics of Lucifer before the fall.11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me (Ezekiel), saying,
God is speaking to Ezekiel - i.e. the word of the LORD came unto me - easy to understand. Now look at verse 12.
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Ezekiel is to take up a lamentation to the king of Tyrus - okay the definition of lamentation is the passionate expression of grief or sorrow; weeping. So this is not a pleasant social call - there is something serious going on here.
Next we see 'sealest' up the sum. When we seal something, normally we feel that it is complete. When you seal your tax return you do believe it is complete, seal your bills, etc. So, from what I am gathering here from sealest up the sum - meaning complete in wisdom and beauty. Now in Ezekiel he talks about the king of Tyre; however, we could not state that any earthly person would be perfect or complete and the authorities I am studying agree that this refers to Lucifer. At the time when Lucifer was in heaven he was complete, made in God image - perfect is wisdom and beauty.
I will begin with verse 13 - then we will go on: Ezekiel 28: 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
Another fact showing this refers to Lucifer - thou has been in Eden, the garden of God - no man or woman lest Adam and Eve have been in the garden of God.
Lucifer was here, in the garden. Think about this for a moment. Tomorrow we will go on with the rest of the verses about his beauty. Thanks for reading. Love you all.
Soli Deo Gloria
Johnny
