Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED! Jesu Jevu!
19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
Paul
is sending greetings to Prisca and Aquila - some of Paul's early
friends. Aquila was a tent maker and they resided in Rome until the
decree of Claudis, which ban all Jews from the capital. At this time
they went to Corinth, where Paul spent time with Aquila. It appears
they were active teachers of "the Way".19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
21 Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
Pudens was an early Christian saint and martyr. He is mentioned as a layman of the Roman Church here. According to tradition, he lodged Saint Peter and was baptised by him, and was martyred under Nero.
22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
