Faith - go forth with an expectant attitude and hope! Mark 7: 24-30

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. BLESSED!!
Okay, when Jesus was speaking of it is not what you eat that defiles you but your heart, in essence, Jesus is saying that all food is okay to eat.  Jesus is taking this all to a new era where the law not longer reigns (nor the Pharisees traditions).
Your faith, how strong is it really?  Do you still believe in miracles? Or are miracles dead as some believe tongues is?  Hmmm!  Questions for you and God to ponder.  But, again, how strong is your faith?
Next comes a lady whose daughter was devil possessed, BUT, she had the faith that Jesus could heal her daughter.  View the conversation and ponder on it:  Mark 7  24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet.26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”
30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
Jesus is referring to the household pet dog, not in the negative sense that Jews, in this day, did refer to gentiles as dogs.
The lady that approached Jesus was a gentile and she came with an attitude of expectant and was hopeful; not in a negative way at all.  She knew what she wanted and believed Jesus could provide.
Jesus makes a statement to her about feeding the children first, she comes back with even the dogs eat the crumbs the children drop.  Jesus approved her answer and told her to go home, her daughter was healed.
We must come to Jesus, God, with an expectant heart, remembering that we will have what we ask for IF it be GOD'S WILL!!
Jesus' power is so great that he did not need to be present to cast the demons out of the girl.  Wowee!  Do we serve an awesome God or what?!?!  Yea!!  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
