The deaf will hear; the mute will speak (Mark 7:31-37)

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO COMPLAIN!!!
Jesus, in today's terms, would be a Hollywood star.  He came, of meager means, a carpenter background and poor maiden as his mother, and became known all over the area.  People followed him, wanted to be in his presence, and asked him for many things (healing).
And of course, as goes with anyone "famous" or "outstanding" you have people who love you and people who hate you.  Just as anyone who is in the spotlight or limelight today will tell you they are cheered and jeered.  This to was Jesus.  However, it seemed the major ones to jeer were in a comfortable position in the Jewish temple and rejected him totally.
Here are some that cheered for Jesus in Mark 7:

Jesus Heals a Deaf and Mute Man

31 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. (Decapolis is a land in the Roman Empire and not Jewish) 32 There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.
33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”).35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly. (in Isaish 35 at verse Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.)
36 Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. 37 People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
Jesus, it seems to me, enjoyed speaking to people, healing people, and turning everyone to God.  Jesus is definitely a good son, going about his father's business in a good way.  Jesus did not want the publicity, he just wanted to continue the work set before him.  However, even as celebrities today, the people went about sharing stories and eye witness accounts of what he did.
You will note that often after healing or preaching/teaching Jesus went off by himself to pray.  We need to heed his behavior and do likewise.  Thank you for reading today. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
