1 Peter 2:11-12 Living a Godly life in a pagan world

Good foggy morning all. God's days are not foggy.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!  Jesu Jevu!
1 Peter 2: 11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
Stop and look at the words.  Dear friends - talking to you as a loved one; Peter is telling these people he loves them.
Encouragement - I urge you, you who are not from this land.  We are just visitors in this land called the "world" and we know there is a better place called heaven.  This IS NOT OUR HOME!
More encouragement - we will have desires of the world constantly tempt us and we must move away from; resist them totally.  Why?  Because they wage war against our souls.  There is a spiritual fight going on right above you head at this moment for your soul.  Satan's demons are vying for your soul and God's angel are fighting in your behalf.
Take a moment to read: Galatians 5:1
Freedom in ChristIt is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
   Also Galatian 5: 13-25
Verse 12 tells us we should live good lives, even though we live in and among all the sinful things of this world.  They may charge you for wrong doings, however, they may also see your good deed will glorify God on His return.
It is tough living a Godly life in a world that promotes licentious and twisted living.  Thanks for reading. Love you all.
Soli Deo Gloria
Johnny
