1 Peter 2:2-3 Grow in the Spiritual Milk

Great morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!  Jesu Jevu!!!

   Look at these verse, no, please  LOOK AT THESE VERSES!  What do they say to you?  1 Peter 2: ² Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, ³ now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

  First, coming to Christ we are as newborn babies.  What do newborns want?  They want nourishment from their mothers breast. Why?  Because it is pure, has nutrition that complements and helps their growth in all ways - mentally and spiritually!

   Newborns CRAVE this milk; we as newborns in Christ should CRAVE the spiritual milk provided for us.  And why should we crave it?

   Just as a babe, it helps us to grow- - grow up strong!  As newborns into Christ we grow and understand our salvation more and more.  The more the spiritual milk we have the stronger and more mature we grow in Christ. The more we wish to grown in the word.

   You have tasted that the LORD is good.  TASTE means to have experienced the spiritual milk of the LORD.  Once we "TASTE" of the spiritual milk, accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and saviour, we will have a great desire to further our growth in the WORD of GOD!!

   It is like tasting that morsel of food that is sooooo good; you want to eat more and more.  So should be our desire for the word of God.  When you get just a small taste of the spiritual milk, you will want to gulp in down in large servings.  Just be patient and study, meditate, and listen to the LORD and you will experience growth like you could never imagine.  GOD IS GOOD!  Love you all.
