1 Peter 2:13-15 Obeying your leaders; pray for your leaders!

Good morning all.  I am off to a slow start.  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!  Jesu Jevu!
    Okay, let's break this down slowly and see what it is saying to you and to me.
1 Peter 2: 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
   Romans 13:1-2 says that all authority comes from God. So, if Christians do not obey their leaders, they are not obeying God.
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
     When Peter was writing these letters an idiot named Nero was the emperor. He was an evil emperor who engaged in killing Christians. We are to respect our leaders and do as they command, UNLESS, they are evil and want or push us to do evil things as did Nero. (Acts 4:19; 5:27-29)  In this case we are to obey God rather than man.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
   God wants you to do what is right. Foolish people do not understand what God wants. Your good behaviour will make foolish people become silent.                  In 1 Timothy 2:1-4 Paul says that Christians should pray for kings and all leaders.
    All this in saying do the right thing, pray for our leaders.  If you don't like Obama or Trump - God has put them in place and we need to continue to pray for them.  Foolish people do not understand - these foolish people are not in the body of Christ.  They may be one day - but they do not understand now. Love you all.
Soli Deo Gloria
Johnny
